Teacher projects funded! – Week 1

Today, 319 projects from 34 states were funded through Limeades for Learning thanks to your votes. Thank you for helping these teachers inspire students to learn! Our partners at DonorsChoose.org spent the day notifying teachers that their projects received funding from Sonic. Here are a few messages from teachers who received funding:

Ms. C - project "Busy Hands Can Learn" - "Thank you for your support and generosity. Thank you for putting students first."

Mrs. S - project "Using Seeds from the Past to Grow the Future" - "Wow. I just read the email to my students, and everyone is cheering! We are so excited! Thank you so much for helping us with this project!"

If, by chance, your favorite project didn't receive funding this week, not to worry. The votes received this week carry over to next week and you are still able to vote. If your favorite project was funded, search by location or subject to find another project a teacher has requested to bring learning to life for his or her students.

On Tuesday, a new feature will be added to the LimeadesforLearning.com Web site. You’ll be able to use a map function to see where grants have been awarded across the country. Check back in to find out the latest and keep voting!

OKC Schools Get Surprise Visits from Sonic

Check out Cliff Hudson, Sonic's CEO, talk about Limeades for Learning on News 9 in Oklahoma City.

Centennial High school students are among the first to benefit from the grant program. One of their English teachers was awarded a check, which he will use for new books.
